State Representative Wes Kitchens, District 27, of Arab has been appointed to the state health committee.
The health committee is comprised of 14 members and will take on legislation that involves Alabama’s healthcare systems. With the Covid- 19 pandemic, this is particularly timely. Representative Kitchens serves on Commerce and Small Business, Transportation Utilities and Infrastructure, and Ways and Means General Fund committees as well.
Kitchens, elected to the House of Representatives in 2018, is excited to be a part of the Health Committee. “I am excited to get to work on this committee. The past year has been very taxing on Alabama’s healthcare systems. There are many things to look at and assist with as we go forward through the Covid pandemic and beyond. With the health systems in District 27 including the Marshall Medical System, this committee will allow me the opportunity to assist them as they are navigating the challenging times we live in.”
